318th Carnival of the Cats

Maggie: "Hi everyone and welcome to the 318th Carnival of the Cats! Our humans have been busy around here, and we've been busy snoopervising their work!"

Maggie:"This house is not in such great condition thanks to previous owners, but Mommy and Daddy are trying to make it better. They even painted our upstairs room for us and set up a bed just for kitties!"

Bagheera: "Whaddya mean the bedspread doesn't match? I'm a kitty...as long as it's comfy, what do I care?"

Sidonia: "The humans even made us extra snuggly beds so we wouldn't have to share. I'm so happy!"

These cats aren't spoiled at all, are they? Let's get started with the carnival!

Samantha & Clementine are happy it's the weekend, and they posted some cute pictures to help everyone else be happy too!

Smokey the hero shows off his sharp hunting & tracking skills, and manages to help his human get rid of a nasty spider over at Missy, KC, Bear!

Over at anniemiz, Miles had an exciting (but safe) adventure out in the backyard and enjoys exploring the yard.

Missy welcomes feral cats to share her barn space and manages to keep life fairly peaceful at Sacred Witness.

Head on over to Momma Grace and Company and wish Grace's babies a happy birthday. They were adorable kitties and have grown up to be beautiful cats.

Did you hear? Cokie the Cat is the Editor-In-Chief of The Anipal Times! Be sure to head on over and check it out!

The new cat tree has created some new cat bed/cat combinations. This tree is big enough that Kal-el, who is a stumpy fat cat, can actually make it to the top of the entertainment center.

We like to call him "Splat cat" when he naps like this. Just look at those white toefurs...I almost want to just reach out and touch them...

Um, wow, that's a mean glare. Maybe I'll pass on touching the toefurs so I don't lose a finger or two!

Time to wrap up the carnival!

Uh oh! At Life From A Cat's Perspective, Samantha & Clementine have decided to have an "apartment-trashing" party that sounds like tons of fun for kitties, but maybe not so much for the humans.

Miss Scarlett may not be able to see out of them all that well, but she sure has some gorgeous blue eyes over at Melange.

Over at Meowsings of an Opinionated Pussycat, Spring is here, and Nikita's Daddy finds a lot of interesting kittes out and about during his travels.

On Tummy Tuesday at Mind of Mog and for Caturday at his blog, iMeowza, Meowza gives us our much desired fuzzy tummy. Though I have to admit, I'm enamored by his beauty mark next to his nose.

While our own domestic cats are always lovely to look at, CatSynth features some of the most endangered wild cats out there to help raise awareness.

Puddy shows off her lovely box (as well as her lovely furs) over at A Byootaful Life. Cats and boxes just go together like, well, cats and boxes. If only they could tell us why.

At The Cat Post Intelligencer, Chey's human tries to get an artsy photo of Chey, and she's definitely amused by it.

In other Meower news, here is a rare moment of peace in the Attack Cat household between Winry, Quixote, and Tiger. The squabbling meter around here has reached an all-time high lately.

We're not sure why, but Tiger seems to be the worst case. He even wound up with a few bites on his tail after some squabbles (not sure from who). The vet thinks that there might be some new scuffles going on due to some cats getting older & dynamics changing. We're got Tiger on anxiety medication & hopefully that will help keep the peace a little more.

Don't worry, everything is good for now with the Meowers of Death and should continue to improve :)

Thanks for letting us host the carnival this week! The next carnival is at Kashim & Othello and Salome.
